About

Crockin’s Country and Traditional Furniture, located in Historic Olde Towne Portsmouth, has been furnishing the fine homes of Hampton Roads for over 120 years. Founded in 1889 by Meyer Crockin, Crockin’s takes pride in being a true family business, now in our fourth generation of family involvement. We have grown from a small, horse and buggy operation to a 30,000 sq ft showroom featuring dozens of quality vendors. We have watched our city change from a bustling Navy town in the early 1900’s to a beautiful historic district with breathtaking waterfront views, charming antique stores and boutiques, intimate coffee shops, and fantastic restaurants. We have grown up with our city…come see us in our prime!

The minute you walk through our doors, you will know that we are different. You won’t find high-pressure sales associates, nor will you be ignored by an aloof staff. You will find friendly, knowledgeable salespeople who will help you find exactly what your heart desires. Our experienced sales staff will guide you through our vast selection of special-order fabrics and wood finishes, help you decide between a variety of furniture styles, and explain the differences in fabric grades and construction methods that will affect not only the price, but the quality of your furniture. We sell furniture that is meant to last!

  1. I have a set of Italian provencial (sp?) chairs that my grandparents bought from your store about 40-50 years ago. The tag reads:Ticket Number 73563-001, Style 1166s, Fabric shrton, Color Russet, Finish AS, Unit 07, Schedule 22-T-01. The tag is all brown & crumbly, but the chairs are still going strong! Thank you for the memories that we’ve had with these chairs and my grandparents, and hopefully for generations to come to enjoy!
